The mLab currently does not have open postdoctoral researcher positions. However, interested researchers in soft robotics, which includes topics in materials science, mechanics, and rapid digital manufacturing should contact us to discuss possible funding opportunities. Applicants should send a cover letter briefly describing their research skills, background, and career plans, a CV, and the names and contact information for at least three references, all submitted as pdf attachments to Prof. Menguc (yigit -dot- menguc -at- oregonstate -dot- edu). When you send email, please include the phrase "cephalapoda" in the subject line in order to avoid the spam folder.
Oregon State University is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
There are currently no open graduate research positions. However, the mLab will likely hire 1 to 2 exceptional PhD students for next year's admissions cycle (Fall 2017 incoming class). When you send email, please include the phrase "cephalapoda" in the subject line in order to avoid the spam folder.
We welcome Oregon State undergraduates who are interested in gaining research experience in the areas of soft active materials, mechanical design, rapid digital manufacturing, microfabrication, mechatronics, and control. Please note that we generally discourage short term projects (single semester) since there is a significant amount of training required prior to participating in one of our research programs. Oregon State students interested in year-long or multi-year intensive research projects are encouraged to contact Prof. Menguc.
